ARE YOU ENTERING A SHOW?

Registrations & Memberships are being CHECKED by Breed & Show Societies, therefore, if you are competing in any show run under RPSBS Rules then you MUST ensure your pony is REGISTERED and entered in the correct exhibitors name (YOU, THE REGISTERED OWNER), then ensure YOU, and the EXHIBITOR/HANDLER are CURRENT Financial members.  If the EXHIBITOR/HANDLER/RIDER is not a member, then, they must at least be a PARTICIPANT Member of the RPSBS.

Remember:

• Exhibits in gelding classes must be gelded and registered as a gelding with RPSBS
• Exhibits which are foal recorded are ineligible to be shown in classes for geldings or colts/stallions four years and over — colt foal recordings expire at four years of age so won’t cut it.
• All colts 2 years and over must also be entire (and have an appropriate vet certificate on file with the RPSBS prior to the show).

Check the studbook online to see the current status of your membership and your pony’s registration.

Member Renewals: All membership renewal notices were sent to members in early June and reminders were sent prior to Memberships being lapsed on 1^st August.  Renewing Members are encouraged to use the online facility to renew their memberships as this is instant.

Renewing online is fast, easy, and your membership is updated instantly.
Just log in to the Studbook via our website or click here to get started.

PLEASE DO NOT leave registering and transferring your pony or renewing your membership until the day, days or week prior to the show.  Minimum turnaround for paperwork is two weeks, so please help US to ensure YOU are not disappointed if your paperwork cannot be completed in time for the show.

It’s been a busy and successful few months for our Queensland Riding Pony members, with Brisbane Royal in August followed closely by the Show Horse Council of Queensland’s Horse of the Year Championships. A number of our members also travelled south to compete at Melbourne Royal, achieving some wonderful results.

This year, Queensland members were also well represented at the Northern NSW Show Horse Championships in Grafton, where two dedicated rings on the Friday showcased Riding Pony classes. Competitors in these classes also had the opportunity to qualify for the special championship prize money on offer at Canberra Royal in 2027.

In this October edition, we’re delighted to highlight some of our Queensland members who have campaigned so successfully throughout this busy show season and celebrate their achievements.

Exciting News – Canberra Royal 2027!

We’re delighted to announce that Canberra Royal 2027 will once again include Overheight Riding Pony classes in its Riding Pony programme!

These classes were introduced in 2026 at the request of the RPSBS Board of Directors as part of our 50th Jubilee celebrations, and it’s wonderful to see them return to the programme in 2027.

Adding to the excitement, cash prize bonuses will be awarded to all eligible Riding Pony Champions and Reserve Champions at Canberra Royal 2027. Members are encouraged to visit the RPSBS website for full details of eligibility requirements.

SAVE THE DATE – SUNDAY, 28 FEBRUARY 2027

The RPSBS Queensland Committee is pleased to announce that our 2027 Queensland State Show will be held at Park Ridge, in conjunction with an Equestrian Queensland show.

We encourage all members to mark the date in their calendars and look forward to welcoming competitors for another wonderful celebration of our Riding Ponies. Further details will follow.
