The countdown is well and truly on as we head towards the 2026 Canberra Royal — the grand finale of our celebration marking 50 years of Riding Ponies in Australia. After a full year of Jubilee events across all states, Canberra Royal provides a fitting and prestigious stage to conclude this milestone year.

The Board is very much looking forward to welcoming competitors, sponsors, and supporters from around the country as we come together to celebrate the Riding Pony, its history, and its future. The inclusion of the RPSBS National Championship classes has generated genuine excitement and reflects the strength of our national programme.

We extend our very best wishes to all competitors as they prepare to compete under the guidance of three highly respected and prestigious judges — Mr Adam Forster and Mrs Penny Carvosso (UK), and Mr Michael Baker (Australia). Their combined expertise promises a wonderful showcase of quality Riding Ponies.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our Jubilee year and to those who will be part of this final celebration at Canberra Royal. We look forward to sharing this special moment with you all.

Note: Ordinary Individual Membership, Ordinary Joint Membership, Company Membership and Life Membership will automatically receive a copy of the RPSBS Annual if they were a member as of 31st May 2025.

Memberships renewed after this date or Participant Members will need to purchase a copy of the annual.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL RPSBS NSW MEMBERS.

NSW State Committee members hope the holiday season was a relaxing and enjoyable time shared with family and friends.

Mrs Dianne Godfrey of Robbanie Stables, a long standing and much valued member of NSW Committee made the difficult decision to retire from the Committee in mid-November. Di has been a valued member of the NSW Riding Pony Committee for eight years, having been elected in 2017. In 2020 Di was elected as President and competently filled that position for three years, after which she became Vice Chair until her recent retirement. Dianne also worked as one of the Committee’s two Sponsorship Officers. Di will be sadly missed on the Committee but will continue her involvement with the Society through showing.

Members who show will no doubt be looking forward to the 2026 ROYAL CANBERRA SHOW from 17th to 22nd February. The RIDING PONY STUD BOOK SOCIETY’S NATIONAL SHOW is included in this year’s Royal Canberra Program and will include Championship Classes for Riding Ponies that attended nominated shows held by their State Committees. A UK Judge will officiate at this show.

RPSBS Board, Studs and Members have sponsored the Championship Classes with cash prizes for those showing Riding Ponies that win and place.
