On 9th August, 2019 a resignation was received from one of the 3 elected RPSBS Ltd. South Australian Committee members. This resignation invoked Rule 32 of the State Committee Structure & Procedures Policy which states that the Board disband the current State Committee and appoint an Administrator.

On 9/8/2019 the present South Australian Riding Pony Committee was disbanded. The Board of Directors Chair, Mike Smith, has been appointed as Administrator. He will hold the position until the following year’s Annual Meeting of Members or until a valid committee can be formed at a Special State Meeting of Members called by the Administrator specifically for the election of a new SA state committee. It is the Administrator’s intention to call for nominations for the new committee as soon as practicable and call a special general meeting of SA RPSBS members specifically for the purpose of electing a new SA committee once nominations have closed.

The Board of Directors is committed to ensuring this process is expedited with all speed and that SA members are not disadvantaged during this transition period.

The RPSBS Board is committed to ensuring that the SA RPOTY Show in conjunction with the RPSBS SA Spring All Breeds Show being held on the Mt Pleasant Show Showgrounds on 27th October 2019, proceeds as planned.

The Board of Directors, on behalf of all RPSBS members thank all members past and present of the SA committee for their work and dedicated to RPSBS Ltd. and hope that they will consider nominating for the new South Australian committee when nominations are called.

The Board will expedite the transition process to a new committee as a matter of extreme importance and urgency. The Board is committed to supporting and assisting every state maintain an effective, functional state RPSBS committee.
