Chair Report

2022 Riding Pony Annuals are on their way. The Board of Directors on behalf of the members wishes to thank Despina Mitrakas of Show Pony Creative and Eleanor Gerry for the editorial and production design work, to the advertisers, sponsors, article writers, state publicity officers and members who submitted material for the 2022 Annual.

Members are encouraged that whenever they get a great or interesting photograph of their Riding Pony or have had a successful show to submit the photo and information online on the RPSBS web page. It might just make the next annual. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I have.

Board Meeting
The next RPSBS Ltd. Board of Directors meeting will be held on Tuesday 27th September via Zoom. Please contact your State Committees if you have any questions that need to be discussed at the Meeting.

Registrations & Memberships are being CHECKED by Breed & Show Societies

NSW Committee

Hi to all of our members in NSW.

We are all coming into a very exciting time of the year with mares due to foal some special little bundles. We wish you all the best with safe arrivals and hope you get what you’ve all requested! It is also the time we choose stallions to go with our mares and fortunately in NEW South Wales we do have a number of very highly credentialed sires. So happy picking!

A reminder that the NSW Committee is hosting our State Championship Show on 20 November at Hawkesbury Showground. This is the day after Emma’s Show and will be held in conjunction with the Hunter Horse Association’s Show. Unfortunately we were unable to secure the Polo fields on the date we could slot in amongst so many other shows. Disappointing, but also an exciting opportunity for members to compete at multiple events on the one weekend.

Further to this, we have confirmed our Judges, being Margot Haynes (SA), Kelli Probert (SA) and Jo Uppington (QLD).

Please keep an eye out for program and entry details which will be available shortly.

Looking further ahead, there are some great new classes being added to Canberra Royal Riding Pony ring, so be sure to check that program when it’s available.
