Members must allow 6 weeks for a DNA result to come back. Sometimes they are faster but don’t count on it. We have a lot of members thinking they will have a result in 2 weeks.

Next Board Meeting
The next Board meeting will be held on January 15^th. With the Christmas/ New Year holidays the cutoff date for submissions to that meeting is Friday 13^th December. Traditionally this meeting reviews the Judges’ Policy and this meeting will also be looking at the Risk Management Policy and the list of approved breeds.

Annual Review of the State Committee Structure and Procedures Policy
The recent meeting on 2^nd October saw the annual review of the State Committee Structure & Procedures Policy.  This policy will be available on the RPSBS web site with changes and additions marked in red.

Check Riders and Handlers are Financial 
With the majority of states holding RPSBS events in the next few months we urge members to check that they and their handlers and/or riders are financial and that their animals registrations are in the correct names.  Repeatedly we have to refuse entries from geldings that are still registered as Colt Foal recorded. Our volunteers on our state committees put a huge effort in providing opportunities for our members to showcase their animals.  Please support their efforts by exhibiting your animals at  their shows and don’t forget to be part of the RPSBS Leaderboard competition.

Ensure the correct name
Remember that for all classes run under RPSBS rules animals must be entered in the name/s as per their RPSBS registration papers.

Showing section A Colts 2yrs and Over
A reminder that Section A colts 2yrs & over no longer have to be adult registered to be shown. All that is now required is a veterinary certificate stating the suitability and soundness for breeding purposes be lodged with the National Office.

Riding Pony Medallions at the EA Nationals
Riding Pony medallions will be issued to the highest eligible placegetter in the 2 Open Leading Rein, 3 open Show Pony and 3 Open Show Hunter Pony classes at the EA Nationals. This is a tradition going back many years. RPSBS Ltd. will, as usual, be sponsoring the Open Large Show Pony class.

Competitors, please note that eligibility is taken as at the close of entries so it is imperative that you ensure your membership is up to date and that the animals are entered in the name of registered owner/s or leasee/s.

The Willowcroft Stud  2019 NSW State Show  on Sunday 17th November at the prestigious Windsor Polo Club is one for your calendar.
